Athletes from across the UK and Ireland travel each year to compete against each other in the British & Irish Masters Cross Country International; a competitive running event held between England, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

In 2024, the event was hosted in Belfast, Northern Ireland and I was responsible for crafting a series of visual deliverables that would proudly represent the city of Belfast. This included a bespoke medal design for those competing as well as a detailed programme for the event.

A key element in the development of the medal was its importance in representing Belfast as a city. In order to achieve this, key iconographic representations of the city were chosen; the Samson & Goliath Cranes and the Titanic Memorial Building.

Both of these have important historical ties to the city of Belfast and provided a fantastic way to proudly represent the city on the UK stage.
